I have a 2.15kWp system on a south facing roof with some shading late in the day from the Malvern Hills and, over the past 4 years, I have got annual outputs in the range 1850 to 1950 KWhs.

You say the modules are in the garden, are they shaded at all? Shading kills production. I would recommend taking meter readings every month and comparing to the figures posted above.

Edit: when was the inverter broken? If during the summer then you could easily have lost 50 % + of your generation when measured over a year.

Yep, I think that's key too.

The OP says, "Our August payment was only £10 - long story short the inverter was replaced."

So replaced Sept onwards. And for off-south panels the summer months are even more important. My May - Aug targets represent just over 50% of total annual gen. Add in April and it reaches 67%.

    Hi,

The inverter was replaced the first week of November. I think it was broken most of the summer, because it's in the shed I don't see it....the OH didn't realise it mattered it wasn't working!

    Don't even ask!!

The total reading for Feb was 59 so much better and pretty close to the estimated total....

The Supplier said it was close to their estimated figures too.

Will keep checking it monthly to make sure it's working as it should.

Thanks ever so for all your help :T

Excellent news. :D:cool::) Hopefully things will be ok now.

You can always join, or just spy on the generation thread to get a rough idea on how people did each month. It might help you judge if the system performance is reasonable.
