Advice on my situation

Hi I have explained my situation on the mortgage thread.
Basically have a house with ex partner it's in negative equity and she is not paying the mortgage anymore and I can't afford to pay it and the rent I have now.
Basically I think it going to end in repossesion and if it does my ex is saying she will go bankrupt and to be honest I would probably look to do the same as no way could I pay back the shortfall.
My question is will my wife who I have no financial accounts with be affected if I went down this road.
I'm seeing my solicitor on Monday but would like your advice guys.
Many thanks

No.
However, be aware, having a re-possession against your name may well restrict your ability to obtain a mortgage in the future. [Never mind having a BR on your records, for 6 years?]No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Hi - The solicitor may be able to help with the house but StepChange and National Debtline are both FREE experts in dealing with BR. Do you have other debts and do your debts amount to over £15k ? If not, there might be other ways to deal with this. Don't rush into BR unless there are absolutely no other options.0

I have a debt manegment plan with around £8500 left to pay put together that and what ever the short fall will be from the house and it's going to be a good old chunk of money0
