New microwave ideas

Hello.
I have an Bifinet KH 1106 microwave which I think I got from Aldi or Lidl 6/7 years ago and yesterday it would not heat up but the grill/light timer and turntable works.
I am after a new microwave now and it has to be 800w or more and just a standard microwave.
I have Tesco vouchers but they don't seem to be doing boost on electrical items now.
I am also a Costco member but I don't know what microwaves they are doing in Milton Keynes warehouse as the online site is not what is instore.
Any ideas or discount deals gratefully welcome.

My old microwave one states that it is a 20l capacity so I have been looking a t that size or a little bit bigger.
The new ones seem to have a smaller inner turntable plate size. Mine is 27cm but some newer ones are 24/25 cm so the dinner plates I use would be to big or nor rotate on the turntables.
I have looked at Argos but the description/size dimensions are not always correct and you have to look on the manufacturers website to get the correct info.0 -
I got my microwave from Amazon as after doing a fair amount of price research they offered the best price by about 50%. I've since found many smaller appliances are cheaper there- not always from Amazon themselves but a third party well reputed shop.
For larger appliances (or if your looking for a really amazing microwave that does everything apart from cleaning the dishes) you could try John Lewis for the price guarantee (look elsewhere first) or AO who seem to offer decent prices (though their delivery times could be improved).
Or there's always Freecycle or Ebay-there are some retail stores (eg Argos) who sell through Ebay and could be worth a look? The warranties still exist if you do purchase from their Ebay store.0 -
Thanks jenniewb for the advice.
I spent ages looking online and I went to Currys for a look but still looking. I know what you mean about AO and the delivery times.
I have only a set/limited space for the microwave to fit on the worktop so I have to make sure the sizes on the websites a correct as some I have seen are way out.
I need a 800W oven but needs to take a 270mm dinner plate with room to spare so I don't have to squeeze it in.0 -
Just been looking as well, why are they making them small inside? I fancied a cream one but all the plate sizes seem to be around 25cm.
Tesco seem to reasonably priced make take the plunge later. Did see a Bosch one in B & Q yesterday 35.00 didnt look that big.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

I did see the Aldi one in todays paper but its only 700w but not a bad price.
I am a member of Costco but I cant get to it for a couple of weeks due to not having a car as its being repaired. Does anyone know if they have 800w microwaves and what prices they are?
As Calling said they are making microwaves with smaller interiors now for some reason.
I have only been without my oven for over a week and I miss it cos I used to make oats so simple in the mornings, jacket spuds and reheat meals and leftovers and now I have to plan what to eat for the week.0 -
