I've got an attic conversion-not that pretty but great for storage, small stairs up to it and I've got black plastic shelving round 3 walls for stash: like these ones
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/BLACK-PLASTIC-SHELVING-STORAGE-SHELVES/dp/B001UNGPIW
big stuff on bottom shelves like big laundry bottles etc and then boxes for small stuff eg deo's on other shelves and also a random shopping basket for my daughter when she stays so she can "go shopping" and empty the shelves...
I do it to help out my daughter-young family, loads of bills going out and not much money coming in and also my elderly mum-same reason too much out and not enough in plus anyone else that stays gets stuff.
I enjoy the game, always have and the mental maths olympics that we all do. I enjoy taking on the behemoths that the supermarkets have become..
Still- I think I may have to think about reinforcing the attic floor at some point though...too much up there at the moment but come Easter I will have transferred most of it to the car to be offloaded at my daughters to stock her up and keep her above the breadline...

Thanks for the advice, I'd go up to the loft conversion I've just had but thats for the business :( Think I'm going to go with shelving was just worried about the weight just going to have to be sure to even it out right. I couldn't agree more about the mental math, it's just fun. I enjoy it :D

Afternoon all. Hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine?

Well done on the cake sale dip! :T

Had a lovely day out at crufts, stroked about 200 dogs and wanted to take them all home! Got some freebies (and I don't even have a dog, but kids Dad does so they can take the treats there). Well worth a visit.

Had a lovely day, started off by staining the grape vine arch and the shed, then trying to get the stain off my face, never had so many freckles :rotfl::rotfl:

Then we went round to see my granddaughter as they were having an early birthday party for her :D Lots of cuddles and giggles :D:D:D
Urghh and now I've just remembered she used to eat raw potato as she was peeling them. Blurghhhhhh the thought makes me feel ill _pale_

I love raw potato, and raw mushrooms :D That said, I used to work in a garden centre (teenage weekend job) and was challenged to eat a charcoal dog biscuit, so I did. It was actually quite nice :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
