Have any fellow glasses wearers had problems with passport renewal before?

I've just had a letter saying my new passport photos (the first ones I've ever been relatively happy with) aren't correct. You can see my full eyeball. There's maybe a teeny bit of a reflection at the bottom of the lens but it's so minimal. I'm furious. Looks like I'm going to have to pay to get them done again (I know you can faff around and do them cheaply yourself) and remove my glasses altogether. Even though I can't see without them and don't wear contacts.

I'm just so so angry. Also made the mistake of including my middle name on this application and now they are asking for proof that I changed my name

passport forms are the most infuriating on the planet.

My OH has a different first name on his passport - never known by that name so holidays have to be booked in that name - it causes confusion as its also youngest sons name.

My middle name is not even on my birth certificate so I have to remember not to include it on forms

Don't start me on passports I had to jump through hoops to get mine last year because I had let it expire many years ago.

I did go to Timpsons as they ensure if the photos get sent back they will do them againg FOC. I don't wear glasses all the time but all my girls do and all took theirs off to be safe. DD1 like you can't see well without them. It is annoying to no look same as you usually are. Hope you get it sorted. xx

When I had my last passport photo taken I had to remove my glasses - never had to before so perhaps they're tightening up. I wear mine all the time too. I always pay about £4 or £5 to get them done in a shop then if they get rejected they take them again for free. For once my MSE ways don't outweigh the inconveneience.

You could just double the quatities of the curries and flatbreads bearing in mind its korma tikka and jalfrazi that work so adding flat breads bring you to 4 items and 6 very small cheap fillers.
£10 back on a £12 spend dont seem that bad to me plus a few sweet/veg/fruit fillers

Although word must be getting around about the deal...my T this morning had no flatbread and only very limited curry stock
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend
