Ah.bless.i really hope hes ok.i had to take my springer to b put to sleep about 4 years ago.he had rage syndrome which is particular to springers(all to do with inter breeding):mad:and I was devistated and couldnt see for tears.i suffered a bit of a breakdown after that and it still feels fresh after all this time.i could tell it was the best most humane thing for him but I felt so guilty.the vet said theres no cure and the farmers shoot them if they are working gundogs:eek:they melt your heart, dont they?god bless.

They certainly do ILGD, but never feel guilty for taking that decision. It is the kindest thing we can do for them, the most loving thing that we have to do. It is the worst part of pet ownership, but we have to take that responsibility, for them

Anyway, on a lighter note, my cousin had Great Danes, three of them, one after the other, but each one she called Hamlet

Well, he was a great Dane wasn't he :D
