Good morning:wave:
Tears and laughter on my catchup this morning.
It really does put life into perspective, live for today and don't worry about yesterday... You can't change the past.
FC your children are a testament to your strength of character and determination. Sending you all my best wishes.
Purpledonkey... I can not imagine how your friend and her parents are coping, I hope they are enjoying their time together and that they can build everlasting happy memories of the time they spend fulfilling the list.
Snap-thinking of you and your family.
Lady shopper- hope you have a lovely girlie weekend away with your friend.
Rhosnybach... Cheeky boys, that was quite a plan they had:rotfl:
Don't know what my plan for today is... only myself and little man awake so far. He's already swapped his breakfast for 1/2 of mine so I've had one crumpet and one weetabix:o
Was hoping to pop to the car boot and start my collection of photo frames for my feature wall. But we shall see what time DD and Mr Monkey actually get up:)
Have a lovely day what ever you are doing:)0 -
Good morning.
Hope everybody is well.
I am soooo tired. I did way to much dancing last night and my legs feel like lead. I Had to get up early as well as I had forgotten to make the students their pack lunches for today
I had a brilliant night though, I've gotta admit it's getting a bit tricky to throw shapes about now. My tummy was taking up a bit more of the dance floor than usualrhosynbach wrote: »I am such a numpty:p I came into the room and boys were talking about how quickly someone had made sponge puddings they said 20 mins to make 3 different types of sponge and custard. I said thats not quick I could do it in under 10 mins they argued the point and went on so I said I will prove you I will do chocolate, syrup and jam sponges in under 10 mins, served with custard but you have to have them for pudding, They set a stop watch, remembering the microwave sponge on here I did one mix then divided it down 2 of each flavour in tea cups, cheated with ambrosia custard, 9 mins 30 seconds 6 puddings dished out, boys ended up eating 2 each, ds2 loves chocolate, oh had jam and ds3 had syrup. Then ds3 said see told you I could get mum to make us all the puddings we like :eek:
I was totally hustled:o:rotfl:

Sucker!
Excellent tactics thoughpurpledonkey wrote: »Yes and no to the sadness, more for her dad really as strange as that sounds. Her 12 year old brother doesn't fully understand, but with her dad, you can really see it in his eyes. There's a running joke between them where he calls her princess and she pretends to hate it. So after watching Cake Boss (where they make epic cakes), she said that he could call her princess on the condition that he makes her a shoe cake for her 16th birthday party. The specs were; it had to be 5 foot high, pink and covered in dots with ribbons too. He can't cook at all, but after 2 days constructed this massive cake to look like a shoe and it was amazing. Apparently everyone cried when they saw it and he made her wear a tiara for the rest of the party
What a bittersweet moment, such a sad but wonderful memory for her family. Hope your friend completes her list hun xLife is not about learning to avoid the storms - it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -

purpledonkey wrote: »I hope you manage to get away. I've been in a similar situation this week. My brother and I have been entertaining some friends from Germany and their daughter was told at Christmas that it would be her last. So on her bucket list, she wanted to come to London, go to Primark and go to China Town. They don't have a lot of money so been finding them as many deals as possible. It really breaks your heart, she only turned 16 last week
Evening
Sorry to hear about your friends daughter. How lovely you were able to help out with her bucket list. I don't think my friend has one as such. She loves holidays, so is just trying to get away as much as possible at the moment whilst she is feeling well.0 -
