Big hugs rhosy. You're such a kind hearted person, I hope you and yours make it through today x

Munqui I think I might have to go to Woolacombe after your posts this morning. I've been very restless looking around for my next contract and a bit of fresh sea air and long walks might just be what the doctor ordered.

Can you (or anyone else who has been) recommend a place to stay please? I was thinking three or four nights, either self-catering or B&B? :)

EMMAP :hello: I see you're back

There are some excellent walks around the area - part of the tarka trail and part of the south west coast path.

Sorry, can't help with B&B's - we have always stayed with Woolacombe bay Holiday Parks out of season when it's much cheaper - self catering dog van for us

I think my sister stayed in The woolacombe bay hotel that was for a conference though so she didn't have to pay for the room - very very expensive!

    Crikey, there's a place I haven't been in years!
Remember staying in one of the caravan parks (think you mentioned GC, may have been that one) they seem to be a lot bigger now (and more expensive)
I remember DH watching a footie match in the red barn (think that's right).

I remember when the red barn was a self-service cafe type thing :o, now it's a trendy pub with admittedly very nice food!

The 'ANY X for £X' offers will not be picked up by the APG unless every item
in the offer is exactly the same price. This '4 for £3' offer at T's has a mix
    of items, at £1, £1.29 and £1.49.

I thought that was only 'ANY X for Y' as in 4 for 3, not 4 for £3
