Does anyone know where I can donate some soft toys and children's and pre-teen books? I don't just want them to be sold at a charity shop, but rather give them where they'll be used.

Try the Local school with the books as I know a lot are doing the Ar accelerated reading they would perhaps be grateful for the books~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. I gave all mine to Salvation Army, what they don't or can't sell go to families in need, SVP do similar work also.
Hospitals can no longer take them due to infection control issues, but you could try a local children's home ?I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
