Accidentally have 2 places for Great North Run....

There were two ballots for this, one a pre-ballot sponsored by The Mirror and the second, a general ballot sponsored by Morrisons (Who sponsors a ballot?!)
Basically I entered the pre-ballot and was unsuccessful so decided to enter the general ballot after this.
I did this without realising that by entering the pre-ballot, my entry was already going to be forwarded to the main ballot.....

The result is I now have 2 places under my name?
I understand I can't get a refund, so what are my options?

I'm tempted to ask them to defer one place to next year, but I don't want them thinking that this is just one massive con to ensure I get a guarranteed place two years in a row & thus get both places cancelled?

Is it worth selling the second place?

Does anyone have any experience of this..?
