  • In addition to my above comment - the first time I consolidated everything I did cut up my credit cards and close the accounts, then about 6 months later I got some nice shiny credit cards and boom, back to square one.

Like so many on here I consolidated at least twice, and still ended up back in debt. Unless you change your ways, sorry if this sounds harsh, you will end up worse off.

Look at what you are spending, if you can still meet the minimum repayments, cutting your outgoings will free up some dosh to start making a dent on repayments. If you can't meet your repayments consider other options such as DMP/IVA/ try the stepchange debt remedy to see how bad or otherwise things really are.

Sorry if it's not what you want to hear.
Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

    How very kind of NatWest....not.

Forget debt consolidation. Learn from the experiences of other forum users who've been there, done that and got the t-shirt.

Your road to financial freedom starts with a Statement of Affairs so you can get a handle of what you've got coming in and what will need to be paid out over the whole year, not just monthly bills.

You can post you SOA here so that folk can give you the benefit of their wisdom to improve your SOA.

Then snowball those debts and one day you'll reach financial nirvana and be debt free. :j
