Lender Contacting Employer

Hi all,
I am applying for a mortgage and the lender I am with has asked indicated that they will contact my employer for further details.
On one hand I have no problem with them doing this in terms of checking salary and so on as what I am claiming is all legit.
On the other hand however, my current arrangement with work is that I work from home two days per week due to my location, and I would like this to continue. However, the location I'm going to I suspect my work will change my arrangement if they find out as I will no longer be the distance I currently am.
I'm assuming if I decline then the application will be over, do you think if I explain my situation and provide payslips it will make any difference?

You will have to inform your employer of your change of address at some point, so is there really any point in trying to hide the fact that you're moving from them now at detriment to your mortgage application? My employer insists on keeping address details up to date for tax purposes.0

True, but it doesn't apply in my case as I aiming to move company towards the end of the year with no negative effect on my salary. I will just get the mail redirected which should cover things0

If you're happy with lying to your employer about where you live then I assume you're happy lying to them about where you're moving to so I don't really see what the problem is.0

I might be wrong but surely they just want to contact your employer about your employment and they wouldn't be discussing where you are moving to?0

As long you perform your employment duties in accordance with your contractual terms. Why does it matter where you live?
Financial relationships are built on trust. People that lie or attempt to deceive will not instill confidence. The natural reaction will be to question what else hasn't been disclosed.0
