Church wedding flowers budget

Hello lovely brides and grooms to be!
We're getting married on 11th April this year so not long now and just trying to finish off bits and pieces.
We're in discussions now about the flowers to have in the church. We've been asked what budget we're working to and would be great to hear some advice about what people think is reasonable as we don't have much budget left but obviously don't want to suggest something too small that's insulting.
Any suggestions would be greatly received!

Hi
I'm sure you'll get much more better and detailed replies later, But we decided that we would be blunt and say from the beginning a budget that we could afford and asked where to go from there. We was told when booking our church, That if more than one person was getting married on the same day as you then they would set a standard price (Think ours is £80) and that would be whites, creams & soft colours to match all schemes.
If its just you on the day, For around the same budget, They would "try" and work your colours in. So, I suggest, Just ask. They won't be offended because its questions they hear everyday. xFuture goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -
We're not having a church wedding and I'm not bothering with flowers to decorate the civil venue. I've just paid £150 for all the flowers, button holes etc0

Thanks Princess, that's really helpful!
It's felt a bit awkward asking the church how much everything will cost altogether- we're having bells and an organist as well so we've just gone for a ball park figure for everything. I believe it is just us getting married that day. With it being after Easter I was hoping that the colour scheme would go with what we're having because it's greens and yellow but I'm not too concerned if it doesn't go completely!0 -
This isn't a church flowers hint, but may help to save money...because we had 4 big bridesmaids, we used their bouquets as top table decorations. We put them in glass fishbowls. Mine in the middle in front of me, and 2 each either side. I did this as I didn't want the traditional top table arrangement. I will try to post a pic.0
