I currently pay my Son's mother a set amount each month. I have a feeling it wont be long before she is asking for more money. I just wanted to know what would be best way to calculate inflation etc every 12 month's

How about, whenever you get a pay rise, then you increase your child support by the same percentage?0

Use the calculator on the CMS /CSA website and you can review it annually.
I like the CSA as I pay less than what I was forking out and now I don't have to feel bad about saying NO when PWC comes with cap in hand.0 -

Start with this amount - because that's what you legally have to pay. Review it whenever your income changes.
it's up to you whether you pay anything above that - some parents prefer to pay for specific things like club fees or school uniforms rather than hand over extra money to the other parent.
Added: if you are paying privately, make sure it's very clear that the money is for child support - a SO labelled as such or keep a record book of every payment.0
