Scam or not a scam???

Got a call today from someone at the Consumer Service regarding a free pension review. They talked about how I could work out what is going on with my pensions, particularly my Friends Life one. They want me to get my details together so a courier can come and collect them tomorrow on some special letter in order for them to act on my behalf to work out what my pensions are actually worth. Has anyone else been approached? They had all my details that I was opted out and had employment pension schemes. They said its all been paid for and I don't have to do a thing. I am really worried that if I hand over my pension details, I definately won't have anything because it will be raided.

That certainly doesn't sound legitimate at all. You're definitely right to be cautious.I am a Chartered Financial Planner

If you are unsure, give them nothing.0

Do nothing, give them nothing, and sign nothing until they explain (in writing) exactly who they are, exactly what service they offer, and whether they are authorised by the FCA.
The courier part *really* smells.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

A free pension review is not possible so you immediately know its a scam there. They want me to get my details together so a courier can come and collect them
One thing the scams have in common is that they use a courier. So, there is another warning bell.Has anyone else been approached?
Yes. And every single one is a scam. They said its all been paid for and I don't have to do a thing.
Which is a lie.I am really worried that if I hand over my pension details, I definately won't have anything because it will be raided.
Losing all your pension is the usual outcome of these scams.

Or, even better, report them to the relevant authority. It only takes one tree to make a thousand matches, it only takes one match to burn a thousand trees. As well, the cars are all passing me, bright lights are flashing me.
