Mortgage application, defaults and pdl....

Hello everyone. I am desperate for some advice on my circumstances and to see if anyone here thinks I've got a chance of getting our mortgage application approved.
I and my partner are looking to get a mortgage of about £200k, for a £280K house. We already have a DIP with the Halifax and are going in to put in a full application tomorrow with our MA. My problem is this, my partner is the model borrower. No defaults, late payments, nothing.
I on the other hand, not so good. I have a default (now settled ) from about 5 years ago. I have two store cards which are pretty close to the limit (high balance on both- About £2600 owed ) I am always into my current account authorised overdraft. I have had a few payment arrangement plans, last one was in 2012/2013, I have late payments on both my store cards from 2013 and a couple in early 2014( I always pay, just sometimes a few days late due to not having a DD set up for the payments, and I almost always pay well above my minimum payments.)
I also have a few pay day loans, from 2011 and Jan 2012.
I did get my credit report from Equifax and sent to to our MA and he said it didn't seem that bad although my score was deemed poor at 355.
What would you say, based on the above are our chances of getting approved, or declined?
Thanking you all in advance for your replies.
I forgot to mention, our combined wage is about £55k per annum.

To be honest you are not helping yourself at the current time.I am always into my current account authorised overdraft.I have two store cards which are pretty close to the limitI always pay, just sometimes a few days late due to not having a DD set up for the payments
Forget your past and focus on the future. What can you start doing tomorrow to demonstrate to a lender than you can your personal financial affairs in a responsible manner. You are going to ask someone to lend you thousands of pounds and trust you to repay it.0 -
I agree I have been a bit stupid, I have tried in the last year or so to clean my act up and get myself back on track. I have now set up direct debits so I don't miss any more payments.. With regards my overdraft, it's mostly been since I went on maternity leave that I have been using it so much. Going back to work soon and I will not be needing to use it as much, if ever.0
