TSB any good?

Thinking hard about remortgaging to TSB on one of their 10 year fixes with no ERC after 5 years.
Just wondering how they are generally as a lender? Our case should be fairly straightforward.

I was looking at this the other day but was / still am struggling to decide if it was worth the £800 difference for no ERC factoring in higher interest and survey fees
I cant directly answer your question but i did notice their survey /valuation fees are higher than other lenders i have looked at so worth bearing in mind:

Also they didnt fair to well on the customer service for this is for current accounts but gives a general idea (table included)

Its no arrangement fee, free valuation, free legals and £500 cash back for remortgages (if you open a current acct)?0 -
The ercs are much better than, say, nationwide as you say superdon. The survey above was a year ago and judged them on the first few months of standing alone from lloyds. They have come out much better in other reviews I've read more recently.0

Yes. I am pretty happy with the deal overall and it suits out plans very well. Unfortunately the draw down deadline for the current crop of deals is one day later than our current mortgage ERC ends. So, we have to wait a few more weeks for the next batch of deals and see what happens.
I really wanted to hear from anyone that was with TSB or applying at the moment. As if this deal (or maybe even better) is still available in a months time, we will probably go for it.0 -
Just to answer my own thread.
TSB have been brilliant so far with out remortgage. Its not due for completion for a couple of months but the contact we have their replies to our emails within a couple of hours at most and they have allowed us to change on to the cheaper rate (10 years @ 3.39%) which was released after our initial application without any fuss. This makes it the cheapest 10 year fix we could get, with the massive benefit of not being tied in after 5 years.
The only problem we have had so far was they asked for an employment ref which took ages to sort out....but that's not TSBs fault.
Big thumbs up. I will be keeping an eye their rates and if they happen to release a cheaper one prior to completion, we will get them to change it again
