Afternoon Everyone ,
I briefly logged on to the above mentioned property auction for a short time today and was quite surprised by the fact that most of the property being sold was well above estimate - is this generally the way things are at these type of property auctions ? presumably there is no let up with the strength of prices in these areas ?

Try watching homes under the hammer on bbc1 - most seem to go well above the guide price!

Price them low it generates interest and by the time it reaches the guide price none of the active bidders will allow it to go to somebody else. Auctions play to the Alpha Male. The one with the deepest pockets, or the most clueless one, wins.0

The first property auction I went to in 1991, everything went for well below estimate. I walked out with more than twice the number of flats I was hoping to get, and all 2 bed when I was thinking I would only be able to get a couple of 1 beds..'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
