Morning!! :j I am after some advice if that's ok. Been meaning to register on here for a while so here I am.
My little boy is 10 now been paying every month no problem (never missed a payment). Now I am looking into taking out a second job althought it may be on a zero hour contract although I am hoping it will be a 24 hour a week contract.
Just wanted to know where I stood really with the csa?
From what I have read online and if I read it right it says something about if the amount I would be earning goes over 15% of my current main job salary then I do need to inform them.
But naturally if I end up going on a zero hour contract then that would be difficult as I wouldn't really know how many shifts I would get.
On the 24 hours a week contract I would naturally go over the 15%.
Any help would be really nice of you.
Thanks

If you are on CSA2 (sounds like you are if you're talking about 15%) then you would be assessed to pay 15% of main job and 15% of second job. If the second job is inconsistent with hours then you can do an average of say 1 months wages (4 weeks).0

Right I got you... so would it be best to work a month first and then tell them based on the hours? if I end up on the zero hour option.
I am assuming they would want to see wageslips of them or confirmation of my employment with them? so would i have to send them in a copy of the contract? or do they just take my word for it... so to speak.0 -
Morning guys... so it's a relief position I have got so one month I could have 2-3 shifts or more... or I may not have any shifts. It's on a when needed basis I suppose.
Should I still inform the CSA of that???0 -

Should I still inform the CSA of that???
After your 3rd month's pay, as they ask for 2 months worth to average out.0 -

Thanks my friend.
So when I start working for them leave it 3 months and then contact the csa is it?
Would they not say why didn't I contact them straight away?
Out of interest do they contact the employer anyway to confirm when you started then or is it pretty much done to me or the person to give them the start date?0 -
You should contact them when you start and then provide payslips as you get them0

Right cool will do.
With it being a relief job so will probably only pick up shifs from time to time I doubt it will even get close to the 15% threshold I have read....
If that is the case then do I still need to inform them??
Just thinking if the above is the case from what I have read online then is there any need to0
