First time buyer advice?

Okay so me and my partner decided to approach a mortgage advisor than approaching bank directly. He ran credit checks and took the relevant information he needed and he came back with lots of different quotes and he chose the one he felt would be best suited too us,as we matched their underwriting criteria. How ever me and my partner have agreed overdrafts our mortgage advisor stated this did not matter! Okay so 2 weeks ago this Thursday is when we put the official application in and last Thursday the mortgage advisor rung and said that natwest asked me to fax over proof of mine and my husbands overdraft limit..to the advisor?? Which I have done why do they want this?? A surveyor has been instructed on the property for the property for tomorrow or Wednesday!! Just overly anxious the mortgage advisor assured me it's going a smoothly as could be and that our income is more than enough to cover affordability another thing that worried me is my partner and I do not have much credit as we are not in debt do not have loans, contracts or credit cards please could someone shed some light one situation? I'm so worried our application will be declined !! Would natwest instruct a surveyor if their intentions were too decline?

They just want to ensure that this is an agreed facility I expect. I wouldn't worry if you're not going over the limit or not using it at all you have nothing to be concerned about.

    Others here will know more.

Thanks for replying and yes we do use it but we clear it the limit every month and pay the fees.we will pay it off bit by bit once we have the mortgage but our savings are being used for advisor survey and solicitor etc..would natwest instruct the surveyor if they had no intention of lending ?

No idea on that one, I believe it varies between lenders, some get survey done before looking at the whole picture, others will do the credit checking / financials then instruct the survey if successful. You'll just have to wait and see I guess.
