Barclaycard Query

I have a couple of queries and hope someone can help. Recently wrote to Barclaycard re payment and have received a reply from Cabot. Are they part of Barclaycard or a separate company.
Also previously did a cca request and all Barclaycard sent me was a copy of terms and condition no signed agreement and had a printout of my previous address, not the address where I applied for this Barclaycard. Do you think this means they don't have correct paperwork as would like to offer full and final in the future and if they don't have correct paperwork hope they would accept lower figure.
Thank you for your help

Below is an extract from Cabots website. Hopefully this helps?
Who is Cabot Financial?
Cabot Financial was established in 1998 and we purchase consumer debt from banks and other credit lenders, which they no longer wish to manage.
If you have received correspondence from us, then this means that we have now purchased your debt from the original lender. We understand that people end up in debt for all sorts of reasons beyond their control and that this can be extremely stressful to deal with.
We wish to work with you to find an affordable repayment solution and help you to clear your debt with us.

Thank you for the reply. If it's been sold on then hopefully I can get them to do a reduced settlement.
So if I want to do a new cca request, should Cabot have a copy if it exists.

Unlikely that they would have it. They would have to try their best to get a copy from the original creditor.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
