  • So another £15.50 spent mainly feeding guests (!) Really am terrible at this tracking.:o

Lots of things given to guests (who are on a really low income and struggling and they where very pleased) so I am a bit more organised.:D

So I woke up late and was flooded with feelings of I can never seem to get my life on track. I guess this is normal so will have to be a bit kinder to myself. :(

Flat is Clean (fairly) and I have plenty of meal options now, I am still thinking minimalist - I mean who needs all this stuff anyway?

Note to self - I really must not buy anymore toiletries/cleaning stuff. I am thinking whiteboards and stock list of what I have in my kitchen / Bathroom but I'm not sure if this is a bit OCD.;)

So Hula Hoops for breakfast - Not really a good start but nice all the same, bit the head from a Lindt rabbit over a coffee but too much too early for me so will probably smash it up and bag it up for when I fancy it .

Got some items on 3bay so hope they sell. Credit card was more than I thought from the London weekend but got this down to £85 now so not too bad. :T

Need to contact the phone / internet provider see if anything can be done there .

Cashed up a Tesc0 Voucher from quidco so I thought that would do for milk for the month - Maybe keep that for May. So that was a nice suprise £15 - although in hindsight I coudl have sent it to paypal and paid the CC. Anyway never mind. :rotfl:

Had to say no to family as the savings are pretty much gone now. Feel quite angry that they keep asking me for various things related to their daily living.

Very hard but have said no more than once now got to the point that I said I will change phone numbers oh dear.:eek:

Going to Turn today into a really positive one! Burgers for tea. Yum.

  • So I have looked at changing the internet/ phone for a cheaper deal. Hopefully sort that tomorrow and must remember cashback site.

I have also made a complaint whether I get any money back is a different matter. I might use resolver to help with that.

Fingers and toes crossed for the ebay sales and hope i dont get any dodgy buyers.

Need to sort the washer to the tip as well sick of looking at it.

Bit more MSE today found some loose change I forgot i even had ;)

Hi as you have worked your way through mine I have just read (ok, some skimming too ;) ) through your diary... WOW!
You have also inspired and motivated me! :D

One thing I am not so good at is building up savings. So will be focusing in on that and doing my best to continually build them up.
Have an EF fund pot, which is of course used whenever an emergency spend comes up but I also need to build up on my actual savings.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

  • Ah if you have skimmed - You will already know I am a nutcase :-)

Welcome to the darkside, we have cookies ...as they say :-)

    Thank you for popping in.

Oh Sam, big hugs - I hope the day has got better and you are seeing how fab you are at staying on track despite all the things life has thrown at you.

I'm glad to hear you are saying no to people as it's not fair for you to be scrimping on yourself if the savings end up going to people who don't appreciate you. I hope you had a good time with your guests as well as them helping you declutter!

Have you tried one of the budgeting tools for tracking? I am rubbish at it unless I have somewhere to bring it all together and check against my accounts - which is how come must do Sunday shuffle :) I haven't resorted to stock lists but tidying things into one place does help.

Sam :j:j:j:j:j CONGRATULATIONS on saying NO.
    And saying YES to yourself.
Always put No1 first and don't ever allow anyone to try to make you feel guilty for it.
You're a giving person and you will give when you want to, because you want to and because it feels right, not because you're told to.

Keep up the good work :T

It is hard to say no but once you start saying more your family will get it and stop asking. Well done you :)

So been a rubbish week and lots of inter family rows around money - nuff said.:o

Need to look at the finances this month as 16 days to pay day.

Need to claim work expenses as they have also gone on the cc so must do that to pay it off . :o

Sold some bits on Fleabay :rotfl: so a few £ there well about £16 after postage and fees so not to shabby at all.

No sign of my quidco voucher from tesco so all very odd but will give it a couple more days. :p

£45 back from phone/ internet company in over charges . Woo Hoo
