Nearly nearly gone

Hello everyone

Wanted to come back and let you all know that this week I will be paying off the very last payment on my mortgage and will finally become the elusive Mortgage Free :)

It all started here Throwing My Hat in The Ring and will end as soon as the cheque clears which will probably be the end of this week coming.

I began my mortgage journey in 1987 with a few remortgages and moves after that first one (£19,000 for my first house :) lol )
I have had a few lucky breaks on the way with endowment payouts and a few bonus payments not expected but the most of it was down to making the decision then throwing everything I had at it.

Not every decision has been the best and I am confident that most financial advisors would have said to save in another vehicle because the rate was so good on the mortgage but I am afraid my heart won over my head big style.

So looking forward to the conversation with the bank when I say "pay it off"
£250 they will charge me for the pleasure of paying it off but its worth it

Good luck everyone who is on the journey and its well worth the effort
