Hello everyone
Wanted to come back and let you all know that this week I will be paying off the very last payment on my mortgage and will finally become the elusive Mortgage Free
It all started here Throwing My Hat in The Ring and will end as soon as the cheque clears which will probably be the end of this week coming.
I began my mortgage journey in 1987 with a few remortgages and moves after that first one (£19,000 for my first house lol )
I have had a few lucky breaks on the way with endowment payouts and a few bonus payments not expected but the most of it was down to making the decision then throwing everything I had at it.
Not every decision has been the best and I am confident that most financial advisors would have said to save in another vehicle because the rate was so good on the mortgage but I am afraid my heart won over my head big style.
So looking forward to the conversation with the bank when I say "pay it off"
£250 they will charge me for the pleasure of paying it off but its worth it
Good luck everyone who is on the journey and its well worth the effort
