Having underwritten mortgage cases, I find it takes longer if a client attempts to label explain what's on bank statements.
If there's one thing you think is really of note and they won't recognise it, stick a post-it note on with a note.

I think it's probably not the first time the underwriters are going to have to look at bank statements to figure out if an application is sound or not...
I would just give them the documents untouched, else it will create issues.0
