I want to buy a new pc

I need to buy a new computer but I haven't really got a clue what one is best. My children need Microsoft office for their homework and the internet for research, my eldest son also uses his launchpad on it. That's it really, no game playing, I have a monitor and keyboard so its just the actual PC I need.. I could spend around £200 now or save for a bit longer if that isn't a realistic amount.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

i would think most shops now would only be doing laptops or tablets, rather than a pc tower..
get the biggest hard disc (saved memory) and RAM you can afford, and check what software comes installed- you may only get a trial of Microsoft stuff..
i would think modern stuff has at least windows7 or windows 8, and a dvd drive as standard.Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

This is not true.
OP, you would be better having this thread moved to the Techie forum.0 -
Great value (£199 after £30 cashback) - no monitor.

This comes with both w7 64bit professional and w8.1 professional so you can choose which is best for you. It also comes with a keyboard and mouse.
If you have a free MS outlook account (used to be hotmail) you get the free online versions of word, excel and powerpoint. Plus you can install a free alternative to Microsoft office, it's called Libreoffice.Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0
