Hi all
Just here to say my interview with the OR this morning went ok I got there in a bit of a state as I only just found the office with 1 min to spare to my appointment time, I was called into a side room by a girl whom I assumed must be the office juniour looked like one of my teenage daughters mates but hey I was mistaken turns out that this young lady was to conduct my interview, she was very easy to talk to and immediately put me at ease went and got me a coffee and then started to leaf through my various forms said she thought all ok except I had put down an allowance for cigarettes said not normaly allowed she the started to write a statement of why and how I became insolvent asked me to sign and said that was it took less than half an hour said she will be contacting me in due course re a IPA as I have a small surplus income but she said she could not let me know how much until she had checked through my wage slips ect as I never have the same Im paid on commission and the figure I had given was based on my highest earnings(silly me) so i will wait to see
Once AGAIN A BIG THANK YOU FOR THIS BOARD

Really pleased it went well, jo. :T :T :T
I am a bit confused about the allowance for cigarettes, though, as there was a space in my I/E form for tobacco - still there is a lot of inconsistency between ORs - I guess they all interpret the rules differently.
Otherwise, your OR sounds JUST like the one that interviewed me in the Bristol office.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi Jo,
Pleased it all went well.
If you might be facing an IPA and you used your highest earnings as your income figure then it'd be a good idea to post your Income & Expenditure Budget to make sure that you haven't missed any expenditure.
A budget has to be realistic because if it's not you'll find yourself commited to an IPA and struggling to pay your bills. There's no real consistency between different O.R's but there are certain items that will be allowed.
