I lived in the Greater London area and got mine at 61 but maybe it's different with local councils. I can travel on buses at any time but trains and tubes after 9.30am.
The freedom pass or 60 plus allows you to travel on the tube at any time not just after 9.30 {with some exceptions} along with some Nat rail trains within the catchment area.0 -
Merseytravel issue travel passes when you reach 60, but these are only valid in the Merseytravel area.
Once you're 65, they issue a National one, which you can use on buses all over England, but not on trains (apart from Merseyrail), trams or London Undergroundjust passing through.... Nothing to see....0
