Getting a mortgage to Buy in a different part of the country

Just looking for some advice/opinions
My husband and I want to move to Wales (we currently live in London) in the summer and would like to buy a property there. We would like to start looking now and have a house in place before we go. Our combined income at moment is £90,000.
However, neither of us has a job in Wales yet although we are sure we will do by the summer.
My question is if we apply for a mortgage in the next few months without securing jobs yet will the mortgage company ask questions about our plans when we get to Wales...or will the simply give us a mortgage based on our incomes at the moment and not ask questions about future. I fear that if they do then we will not be a able to move into our own property and will have to rent initially.
Hope this makes sense.

I am afraid that lenders are smart enough to question a daily commute from Wales to London.
A second home or a buy to let might sound sensible, but your main residence at least 150 miles from work does not.I am a Mortgage Broker
