Has anyone here had any experience in obtaining a mortgage on a timber framed and clad property built from Swedish timber of post war age?
I have a meeting with a broker next monday to discuss my options and one of the properties id like to consider is of this style.

I hope you have advised the broker of this in advance. Otherwise you are likely to catch them cold.I am a Mortgage Broker

Im just meeting up for a chat to explore my options. the property in question is desirable for us as its 2 mins from my current house meaning no issues with schools and such like and is in a desirable quite area.
My option at present is possibly buy said house at a reduced price due to construction type or buy present property im renting of my landlord at valuation price which needs more money thrown at it to upgrade the property.
I guess I could sit things out and rent a bit longer but im keen as mustard to get on the property ladder and have a feeling my landlord might be getting itchy to sell up.0 -
You may be able to get your landlord to sell to you below value effectively increasing your deposit and improving your mortgage rate.I am a Mortgage Broker
