Council tax rebanded after I left property

I lived at a property from 2007-2014, I appealed the D banding and gave examples of other properties that were B and bigger.

I got fobbed off twice and told it was banded correctly

I left the property in September and told the landlord it was overvalued but they wouldn't change it.

He has managed to get it changed to B and the effective date of alteration is down as April 1993

They say I can't have a refund as I'm no longer living at the property

My argument is that had they listened to my complaints previously I could have saved my self £320 per year

So that's a £2310 over payment

Any advice or do I just take the hit?

You are entitled to the refund. If the council don't acknowledge this, get your local councillor involved.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
