Support at work

Hi everyone,

Has anyone used Access to Work while they are employed, I.e. Not currently off sick.

OH have said its a great scheme but I've read up and it's a government grant scheme. If there isn't anything that can be bought to help me do they offer any other help?

Thanks

HB

Some have used it for taxis to work, if there's no other way of getting there. But what support do you need?

  • Travel may be some help for part of my job. However it's small physical movements that hurt and any physical lifting, no matter how little.

Walking and standing also an issue.

It's just their website is quite brief so not sure what help they can offer.

A more appropriate solution may involve your employer looking at making reasonable adjustments to your job.
    Don’t be a can’t, be a can.
  • Yes, thanks. That is already in hand but have been advised to try and work with access to work as occupational health confess they don't really know what I do so need some one to come and see exactly what my work day is like.
