Can't report posts

A new member has made a very rude personal attack on me, and with a username that is a direct insult to my OH - I can only imagine it's someone from another forum we frequent (and I no longer post there, due to this sort of behaviour).
I've tried to report the post by clicking the icon, but it doesn't appear to be working - any one got any ideas, and how can I report it?
I'm really upset!
Edit - I've managed to send an email anyway, but the original problem still stands - and I'm wondering who knows me and would want to be that nasty.
