Hoping someone can help out there, my son got fine last year, he was slow of the mark paying. He then missed another 2 payments, it then got passed on to the Marston group. So his £115 fine now became £190. In December. We got a letter from the Marston group stating that he owed the above amount. I paid off £115. Then but at first not the £75. He then got a letter. Saying that he still owed them the £75. I argued with them, has I didn't have the money but there was no give with this company the said now the enforcers will be out to remove good of the value, so with that I paid the amount via automated payment with the credit card on the 19 th December.
Then three weeks ago we got a letter. Stating that the £75 hadn't been paid. I rang them up saying it had. They asked me to ring the bank to confirm payment and ring them back. Hold my hands up I didnt. With work and not being well. Saturday 31st. The Marston came to my door. With the extra charge now £310, because we wouldn't allow her entry she went away. And was coming back with a lock smith. In the mean time I sort legal advice and she put it off until today. To see if there accounts office can locate the £75. Also I sent them proof via bank statement the money had gone to them. I also got ref no from the bank.
Today she rang me to state that they can't find this money and she was going to execute the warrant and bring a lock smith with her. Because she believe that she wouldn't be allowed entry, so that would of been another £150 on top of everything else. So all I could do was pay the £310.
Any advice would be grateful. From where I go from here.
Thanks Gail

I would go down the fines office at the court and show them, then ask about raising a formal complaintDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Are Marstons employing aggressive female bailiffs throughout the country or is this the usual suspect in the far southwest?0
