When is somebody going to collate evidence on this practice and report them to the police for fraud and false accounting? Its an appalling practice and whilst many people can't prove that this is false there will be many who can via bank records etc.
If someone went with 30 or 40 cast iron cases of this happening then it would be hard for the police to ignore it!!

I switched bank October 2013 so I can't check. I wonder if I contacted Barclays (my old bank) would they provide statements if I paid a fee?
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D

You should be able to if they still have them.

Despite what BC have told you, they have to prove you made that payment, you don't have to prove anything, defiantly apply to get the CCJ set aside, there will be a fee to pay for this, but there's a good chance this "phantom payment" cant be corroborated, and the account is SB.

Bottom feeder DCA`s buy up old SB debts in the hope they can still collect on them, hoping the person concerned is not clued up on there rights, sometimes they use self employed collection agents in order to do this, as some people find them intimidating, even though you dont have to deal with them at all, they have no power, its just a scare tactic.

Times are hard in the debt collection business !!
