Taken To Court.

I am not sure what board to put this on, but hopefully here goes.
Can anyone tell me what the situation would be if you were taken to court on a civil matter and lost the case and were told that the plaintiff had been awarded money plus costs.
There is no money to pay either the costs or the award. The person defended themselves, lives in rented property, has no assets and is on benefits.
It's a worrying situation, but advice would be appreciated.

They can't take what they don't have. Probably end up paying a quid a week or something.0

If they did not pay then they will have a CCJ on their file.
If the amount was sufficient then the plaintiff could possibly seek a bankruptcy order.0 -
What about the cost, don't they go to the court?0

The costs are awarded to the plaintiff, it costs them to take you to court.0
