Disguising banana

Hi
My bf has started a real health kick and has lost about 2 stone and trains in the gym about 5 days a week. He keeps reading about bananas and how good they are and wishes he could incorporate them into his diet but they really make him feel sick, even the smell. He can cope with a smoothie where the taste is diguised but I cant think of any other way of putting this in things where the flavour wont be picked up. Does anyone else know of anything?

Before I read this I was going to suggest banana bread, but since I read he's on a health kick, that's won't do...
I'll have a wee think though and get back
Lx0 -
Bananas contain potassium which is useful for muscles (I think it prevents cramp?!) so he's probably had them recommended by a sports mag, BUT there are many foods which are higher in potassium and equally portable. See below:

As he is trying to lose weight eating a lot of bananas is not a good idea given the calorie content of them
As other poster suggested try alternativesNumerus non sum0 -
he isnt trying to lose weight, it just falls off him with all the exercise!! lucky boy
He doesnt need to diet, just eat the right foods to give him energy for exercising, he doesnt eat fruit so he wants to try and banana has obvious benefits. Its just an attempt at being more healthy generally. As long as it isnt loaded with fat and sugar then any suggestions are fine.
Sorry if that wasnt too clear:o0 -
If he doesn't like banana nothing will disguise the taste, even when in minute quantities.
Nuts, such as cashews, almonds and brazils, provide potassium and other re-balancing chemicals. Look up Holland and BArrett healthy magazine for ideas. Available in the shops or on-line.0 -
freyasmum - great minds think alike i was goign to say banana bread too. BOO81 - i guess you could make a banana bread and tell him that could be his weekly treat, use an artificial sweetner instead of sugar though and i use a natural yoghurt with a few drops of vanilla essence in mine to disguise banana smell as bf is not super keen on them either - he just smells vanilla now.Time to find me again0
