The problem comes when you actually think you can time the market. You might pick up a few percent in 2015 but that'll easily be lost when you make your next, incorrect, market timing call.

I appear to have picked up more than a few percent ;)

Well I`m going to stick my neck out again and say that there is definitely going to be a house price crash in Aberdeen, just like the 80`s one, but much much worse due to all the excessive leverage.

    Are you buying in Aberdeen?

Silly question I guess, why else would you be monitoring Aberdeen house prices and hoping for a correction, if you weren't looking to buy a house there? Which areas are you looking to buy in?

Nope, it's me- renovation man, aka dithering dad.

When are you looking to buy? Do you have a set price in your chosen area / chosen house type that you're waiting for the market to reach?

He'll never buy. If he didn't buy in the early 90's and around 2009, he will never buy, that's for sure. Geneer was too stupid/stubborn to buy, but his wife made him, I think Crashy is a loner, so there isn't a better half to knock some common sense into him.

I reckon this is another geneer type, pretending to be in favour of a housing crash just for the craic and the argument while all the time owning a house.

Seems a bit mental but probably better to have them in here than roaming the streets...
