This company is driving me mad to the point of trying to juggle work and suffering sleepless nights. It's now affecting me mentally to the point of severe depression and that feeling of hitting a brick wall with these idiots. I entered a dmp with Stepchange 2nd December and Springcoin continue to state no documentation received despite being sent out 6 times now to correct corresponding address in London. A cheque was even sent out via Stepchange which they state" sorry mam no cheque received". I even logged a complaint via email which states 48 hrs response. No acknowledgment from them but when I rang and explained my circumstances yet again they told me " Oh we have received your complaint" I have now reported them to the financial ombudsman who is writing to them. HELP........

  • Just spoke with Stepchange and they even said there is absolutely no way they haven't received the documents as it's been sent out 6 times now to the correct address. I've been told I'm doing everything I should be doing, not ignoring the debt and making a payment and it's them trying to bully and intimidate me. I wonder if they will acknowledge FOS letter?

God this is driving me mad........

Yes they will have received them. Pretending they havent is just one more method or tactic of harassment they use. Would probably threaten to report them to the FCA and trading standards as well for deception.

  • Are they harrassing you with phone calls? If so, can you block their number or switch your phone onto answering machine? You could also try logging and recording their calls and inform them at the start of each call that this is being done.

There is a recent (post switch to FCA) template letter regarding harrasment by telephone on this forum here - Harassment by telephone - possible letter and citations

  • FOS is good. Hopefully they pay attention to that.

After only just reporting them to FOS today they have acknowledged my complaint sent earlier last week. In that complaint i politely informed them all calls should be stopped and communications via email or postal address. I also threatened them with FOS which I was advised to report them regardless by Stepchange.

Surprise surprise......They acknowledged documentation and informed me yes it has been received and currently being reviewed. I have frightened them?

    Hey Rooster!

I think the FOS involvement may well have got their interest now ;)

Don't forget to complain about any interest and charges they have been possibly adding whilst 'waiting' for the paperwork. Might as well get the FOS to look at that too whilst you have their attention... :D

Also, you could consider keeping a log of calls from Springcoin now they've acknowledged your letter asking not to phone, and passing that log to FOS as well to demonstrate the harassment they have been causing...

Not frightened them, just made them begrudgingly do their job...they realise an FOS complaint that's escalated will cost them and the more complaints the get to the FOS the more likely the FCA will hang them.
