Invesco Perpetual HI

Got an alert from Trustnet today, this fund back in top quartile over 3 years, 57 out of 274. Since many will have jumped to Woodford, interesting to see how it pans out when Woodford gets comparable figures. Personally I halved my HI and put it into Woodford, since Barnett had quite a good reputation with his smaller companies, so reckoned would give him a chance. Pretty happy with both so far.

  • I have held IPHI since 2003 and like almost everyone else who has had that fund long term been very happy with it. Like you when Mark Barnett took over I gave him a chance and took the money I had and split it 50/50 him and Woodfords new fund.

Both have done well since, and its not very fair to use 6 months as a comparison as anything can happen in 6 months with stock picking but still, here is a comparison graph of the 6 months I got from Morningstar. I think I will probably move to all Woodford if only because his charges are slightly lower. I think Invesco are getting away with slightly higher charges as SO many people have money in this fund from financial advisors who will not pay any attention to goings on whatsoever.
