'Telogram' again..MIL's debt sent to our address?

had one of those 'telogram' letters asking our MIL to call up to retrieve a message (yea right... ). But the letter was sent to our address. We don't understand why they've sent it to us as the name on the letter is her maiden name whereas we both have her married name.
What should we do with it?

no expert IA but I would say that youa re not liable for this - how have they linked her financially to your address? Are you in charge of her financial affairs or something? Or has she used your address on something (no offence intended). I think i would speak to MIL first and see if she knows what it's about. If the account is in her name, she needs to make sure that her address details are updated in case it ends up on your credit record as a financial link.
hope this helps0 -

You are under NO obligation to pass that piece of paper to your Mother in Law. This is exactly what Capquest want you to do. I would think that they have had no success in contacting her directly and are trying, against OFT guidelines, to get to her through you.
However, I agree with jillie, in that you should speak to your mil and suggest she takes advice.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
