Ideas for a Stag Do for a music lover

I'm trying to think of ideas that don't involve a stripper and all those horrible cliches for my best friend.

He likes real ale, music and playing music. I thought about going camping to somewhere we could have a campfire and take guitars but his brother thinks it's not massively inclusive.

Anyone got any ideas? We're ideally looking at doing something in the North West of England but I'm drawing a blank if I'm honest

  • What kind of music is he into? You said guitars - how would he feel about a folk festival? http://www.ukfolkfestivals.co.uk/england.php If you did it in a big city (there's an Irish music festival in Manchester in March but might be too soon) it could be something people drop in and out of and then meet up in the evening.

  • Have you seen something called a Taskshirt before? You can design your own t shirt with different tasks that are covered up by stickers then revealed throughout the night. We've had great fun with one on my friends stag party. You may have to google it to find the website

Dublin would be a good city to drink beer and listen to some good live music in.

with the Euro falling it is a bit more affordable

    Thanks everyone.

He's a rock music lover, mostly classic rock and the beer festival idea went down well with his brother by the looks of it adouglasmhor

I'll see what the consensus is with other ideas but I can certainly say Ben Nevis is out - it's a pretty long way from Liverpool and the possibility of turning up to the wedding in cast is a little too high for my liking!
