A lot of the major, big time artists restrict presales to paying fanclub members. This was the case with people like The Police, latter Genesis dates and I think sadly, that's the way most pre-sales will go in the future.

Only those who pay a yearly fee will get access to them.

The music industry is a greedy, self-obsessed, all consuming beast. And I fear one day, it will eat itself.
