Nationwide - alternative evidence?

I am in the process of changing mortgage plans with Nationwide.

I posted the last month's payslip and bank transactions. I have online banking and just printed off the transactions from the internet.

Now they e-mailed me asking for a front page of bank statement confirming of name and account number.

Santander who I bank with I have tried every page and I cannot find a page which contains my name and an account number.

I have done inline banking for 4 years now and never had a paper bank statement.

What do you think is a good alternative? I do get paper statements from Santander for my credit card. I don't have a cheque book either.

If I ask for paper statements, it will slow things down.

I had to go into the bank and get a proper statement, it is a bit silly that Santander don't provide that information from online statements.

In fairness if it does not have your name and/or account number/sort code they have no way of verifying that it is your account and satisfying anti money laundering or their own rules for checking affordability.

Nip in to the bank and ask them to printof some statements and branch stamp them. It should be ok.

Its OK now. I just clicked on change your paperless settings and there are the PDFs of the statements that I would receive in the post.

Just printed the latest one for the 2 bank accounts - one for bills and one for everyday spending.

    Also contains my address too.
