I am a uk resident and am here on an ancestry visa.

It varies from lender to lender.
Some won't accept an application from someone who doesn't have Indefinite Leave To remain, others insist you've lived here for x years and have y left on your visa.
Then, you can see restrictions on the loan to value which will be offered.
