We used to spend £50 a week for 2 plus a baby. It was easy and didn't require much thought or meal planning or home cooking (it included a frozen pizza once a week!)
Now we spend around £30 a week for 2 plus a 4yo and a 16m old.
I plan, shop in lidl mostly, utilise YS items, home cook everything.

I aim for £60 a month for 2 people. I am veggie, he isn't.
We use a lot of frozen veg which is cheaper than fresh but also cook from scratch where we can.
A lot of the ingredients you buy once and then won't need to restock for a few months so some months can be more than others.
We have a backlog of meat in the freezer so aren't spending money on that atm so I suppose the budget is higher when meat needs to be purchased too.
I am the sort of person to try and save as much money as possible though. I hate spending money on food as it disappears so quickly.0
