Has a comp win changed your life?

Hi!

MSE Tara here - I'm looking for a comping story to feature in the weekly newsletter.

Have you ever won a competition that has changed your life? I'd love to hear about it...!

WON a PlayStation 3, if that counts??

So taken up my free time
  • I once won a fish slice - it changed my life as it saved me buying it from poundland

....... and along comes the influx of new compers diluting the already saturated prize pool thinking it's easy to make thousands - sorry to say, it isn't that easy
You have to enter thousands of competitions to get maybe 1 win, then after putting in 80+ hours a week you too could win a fish slice.

I'm sure Di will be around soon to tell you her story
Yes, I know there is no "R" in the word dream in my username - it was setup in memory of my grandson :A

Not sure about life changing but I won an amazing once in a lifetime holiday to Canada last year that we would never have been able to afford. the best bit was I was able to go over the 2nd anniversary of my lung transplant , and spent the day mountain biking and horse riding, things I though at one time that is never be able to do!! Fantastic!!

I won my wedding in the Bahamas so I'd say that changed my life! I'd just got engaged but was living on my own with my 2 kids when I entered, once we found out we'd won it was all systems go - moving in together etc etc before we flew to the Bahamas 4 months later!

You'll be glad to know we're still happily married - it's our 3 year anniversary this May :)

Won a treadmill and other exercise equipment that helped me lose over 6 and a half stone. When I started using it I struggled to run 1km - I now run 3 times a week and my best is 15km in 75 mins. I an mow more active with my children and feel great (lost 10 inches off my waist, 3 inches off my neck!)

No - but i look forward to the newbie idiots whinging that they've won sod all after 2 weeks of entering 10 competitions as no doubt everyone will see this as a great way to save / make money.

It isn't - it's a time waster which could be put to something a lot MORE productive

I won a 'website in a box' and the comping website I started was found by oxfordshire press and led to my now full time job in comping - WHICH I LOVE!
Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!
