is it a good thing to let a referee know that an employer may contact them in regards to a reference. I have sought permission from him before hand. I am just waiting for some checks within the nhs and its painfully slow. Just want to feel like i am doing something.
Crb should be fine as i havent had any trouble before but hr have not contacted me about anything as of yet and need to show my id up at the hospital sometime. i have untill wednesday before i contact the recruiter to get things moving as its been about 4 weeks now.

That's exactly the sort of person (an academic) who needs advice on what to put! Otherwise you'll just get a cut and paste reference with your name wrote in

As they are being asked to do something that really/ hopefully is for your benefit its a common courtesy to ask them beforehand. It can also give them an opportunity to highlight things that may be relevant (eg they're going on a 2 month holiday so wont be around to do it or they advise they're not willing to do it so you dont get a non-response from them which is generally interpreted as a bad reference)0

He said its fine. I think this guy will be fine at it as he will do a lot for nursing students going onto working in the NHS. He was a tutor so has a lot of stuff about me.Mortgage free wannabe
