Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights

Options
I was at the event last night which was cancelled shortly after the interval. I am struggling with this one as the event was to raise money for charity. Do you think I am entitled to a refund?

This thread makes me sad :(

OP, if they do offer refunds, do the right thing and give it to charity yourself.

They'll probsbly offer people a different date first.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

  • I would have thought that Peter Kay and some of the cast would have at least done an impromptu performance after he was taken to hospital.

If I was there I would not be asking for my money back but this is my my personal opinion.

I would see it as any other live event i paid to go and see. If it got cancelled your entitled to a full refund or an extended date if they offer one.

Plus I checked comic relief website.
Where does money raised by Comic Relief go?

All the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help poor and disadvantaged people in the UK and the world’s poorest countries.

If all the money was spent in the UK then i would say ok dont worry, But Britain gives plenty of AID money to the poorest countries from TAX payers money, And this is a BBC event which is more money we need to pay for just to watch the event.

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to continue working and being funny after seeing a colleague/friend potentially die on stage.
  • oh Robin9, !!!!!!!!

    I paid £67 each for 2 tickets!
Watched half a show, told to go home.

If the actor wants to stuff his face constantly with saturated fats and pints, tough!

If the actors were that bothered about the collapse, they wouldn't have continued the schedule.
So yes, i'm going all out to get a refund!
£134 for two tickets is a daft amount and no, i won't be handing it over to charity. I pay enough in tax as it is!

An the fact there's nothing on any website about a rearranged date or a refund is a joke!

It's disgusting seeing everyone else going to watch the shows an having a great time an we get sent home.
People get ill all the time, big deal! Get over it!

Am sure if any of you whining !!!!!! got ill on the day an couldn't make it, you'd be straight on the phone asking for a refund!
  • I believe they're scheduling a matinee show for those in the audience when it was called off.

They have scheduled an afternoon performance on the 15th for anyone affected.
But I have to say I'm appalled by your attitude and they way your talking about another human being.
If you felt the tickets were overpriced why did you pay it?
