Is a AIP using MTE a good indication?

Hi all,

I have a mortgage application with Natwest which is currently with underwriters. AIP using MTE was passed, albeit offering 1k less than requested.

I know there is a chance it could still be declined as im asking for a high loan to income, but generally speaking is the AIP a good indication?

There is always a chance an application can be declined, or even withdrawn after offer. However, an accepted AIP is an initial good indicator, and unless you are aware of any potential problems, it should hopefully progress to offer.

More surprised a broker is still using MTE!

NatWest only offers a scored DIP via MTE.

The DIP via its own website is an affordability calculation only.

I suspect the OP found one of my recent posts.

It's a DIP. You've moved on to a full application and documentation has been submitted.

You are where you are. You just have to wait for the outcome. Even brokers have to accept this is part of the process and you won't know for a day or two...

Ill just have to keep everything crossed, i will report the outcome when i find out.

Id like to think all will be fine as i provided all my circumstances and docs to back it up, time will tell.
