So annoyed was unpacking my car and I knocked my laptop out and it shattered. It's an ancient model so it's not worth fixing and parts for it are impossible to get. While I have emergency money it's not really enough for a new laptop so I did some research and I'm now renting one. It's a three year contract at $20 a f/n for three years (than van be bought for $1) thanks to you guys I asked them to waive my set up fees and i had it written into the contract that there would be no usual cancelation fees :j
I desperate need a laptop for uni so can't manage without one or I would but I think I did good :) I went for what I needed not the latest fancy model as I would have a year ago!!!

    Hi fluke

It's gutting when you hear that crunch and you know you can't afford to replace whatever it was that crunched. Glad you've got yourself a manageable deal, such a sigh of relief when you realise it wasn't the end of the world after all. Maybe you could keep an eye on the freebie ads, In the UK we have. Gumtree, free cycle and preloved, occasionally old laptops crop up there, just thinking if you could free up that regular payment it'd help the debts come down quicker.

Good luck with the uni stuff, hopefully that will lead to more earnings = more debt busting :-)
Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

We have gumtree and free cycle to but the laptops that come up are broken. Since I need it for uni it needs to be reliable. But at least under the lease all maintenance and any repairs are covered for the term of the lease :) and i get free yearly software upgrades!
